Premier League Matchday 27 Preview: Arsenal & Man City Hit the Road

The latest round of Premier League games features some intriguing match-ups which could impact several key battles in the English top flight.

There will be plenty of attention on Manchester City and Arsenal as they strive to boost their respective title challenges this weekend.

Man City visit Crystal Palace on Saturday, while Arsenal head to Fulham the following day, and both teams will fancy their chances of picking up three points.

Read on as we take a look at some of the standout EPL games on Matchday 27 and assess some of the key betting angles to consider.

Highlights

  • North West big guns eye tasty treble
  • Arsenal eager to continue Fulham dominance
  • Palace looking nervously over their shoulders

Top Trio in Line for Tempting Treble

Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United are odds-on to record victories this weekend and plenty of punters will be combining them in treble wagers.

The Reds are priced at 43/100 with bwin to pick up three points at Bournemouth following their 7-0 demolition job over Man United last weekend.

With Jurgen Klopp’s side just three points adrift of the top four with a game in hand, they will be eager to get another win on the board.

Man City (34/100) and Man United (4/11) are also short prices to win their fixtures against Crystal Palace (33/4) and Southampton (7/1).

The treble pays just shy of 13/8 and it is difficult to imagine any of the North West trio slipping up in games they desperately need to win.

Arsenal Bid to March on at the Top

Arsenal gave punters an almighty fright last weekend, recovering from a two-goal deficit to beat Bournemouth 3-2 courtesy of Reiss Nelson’s last-gasp goal.

The Gunners will be a popular pick on UK betting sites this weekend as they make the short trip across London to face Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The home side are on track to finish in the top half of the table this season despite losing 3-2 against Brentford in their most recent outing.

However, their recent record against Arsenal does not inspire confidence, with the Gunners winning seven and drawing two of their last nine Premier League meetings.

Fulham’s last victory was a 2-1 success in January 2012, but they will find it difficult to repeat the feat against a side that is mounting a sustained title challenge.

Palace’s Slide into Trouble Continues Apace

Palace head into their home game against Man City on Sunday still searching for their first league victory since the turn of the year.

After triumphing 2-0 at Bournemouth on December 31, Palace have subsequently gone nine games without a win and are now nervously looking over their shoulders.

While Patrick Vieira’s side head into this weekend’s game 12th in the standings, they are just five points above the relegation zone with 13 games remaining.

The Eagles were priced at 12/1 to be relegated just a couple of weeks ago, but have been cut to 8/1 in the latest bwin betting.

A defeat against Man City would see those odds slashed even further and crank up the pressure on a Palace side that has found it difficult to score this season.
