BetStorm UK Review 2024

Right from the start of my BetStorm review, I saw signs that this site was trying to stand out. In fact, even when I searched for it on a search engine, the tagline ‘Lightning can strike twice’ hit me as being particularly unusual. But it all got me interested enough to review BetStorm from top to bottom.

Far from being gimmicky, this is a classic sports betting site which focuses on doing a lot of the basics right. However, one of the fundamentals – that is, the odds – could do with some work if BetStorm is to compete with the best betting apps and online betting sites in the UK.

Here are the main pros and cons I came across while reviewing BetStorm:

• Simple offers: Things like ‘Bet £10 and get £10 free’ are not only easy to understand, but I’ve frequently found they are easier to turn into real cash than the four-figure offers at some horse racing betting sites.
• User-friendly layout: The site is simple to navigate and uses a nice, dark backdrop which helps the fonts pop. This not only looks good but also makes it easier to see what you’re betting on.
• Bespoke settings: With the ‘live multiview’ area, you can drag and drop events into one area. So, you can see live odds on the specific events that interest you without flicking between tabs.

❌ BetStorm Weaknesses

• Odds: One of the main things I looked for in this review of BetStorm, and indeed when I review any sports or football betting sites, is how competitive the odds are. BetStorm betting could be better.
• Live streaming. If you’re looking for BetStorm horse racing, you may well want to watch the race live on the site. This isn’t possible, as there’s currently no live streaming option with either real money or BetStorm free bets.
• BetStorm withdrawal times: I was frustrated, during my review of BetStorm, to receive a lack of clear answers about withdrawals, bet limits and so forth.

Conclusion

The odds are a big minus at BetStorm. Casino fans won’t care, but if you’re here for sports betting, you don’t want to win only to find out you could have made more elsewhere. However, the BetStorm horse racing odds are decent overall.

There are also a lot of plus points like a truly unique and customisable layout which makes the betting experience here very good – and perhaps worth the odd sacrifice.

There were several important features I noticed throughout my review of BetStorm which helped this online betting site stand out from your average one. Here’s what I found:

I’ve mentioned this a few times in this BetStorm review, so it makes sense that I begin with the live multiview. Click on the ‘Sports’ section, then look for a tab titled ‘Live multiview’. From here, you can drag and drop sports or even individual markets from the left-hand menu into an empty area on the right. By the time you’re finished, you’ll have all your favourite markets and sports betting options in one place.

If you don’t fancy customising your own multiview, check out the ‘Live overview’ tab instead. This is similar, but instead of arranging it yourself, you just click on a particular sport and get a breakdown of all the current live events.

One cool thing I noticed during my BetStorm review was the option for both PayPal and Apple Pay. These are some of the most common ways to pay in general, yet some of the least common to find available at UK betting sites, so to find both in one place was great.

Most of my first-hand experience with the payment methods was perfectly good and in line with other betting sites. However, when I quizzed the customer support staff about payment limits and so forth, I didn’t get the required answers. This left a bit of a black mark over the banking section for me.

The live chat staff are responsive and generally helpful. However, as mentioned earlier in my BetStorm review, they didn’t have all the answers I needed.
