Holders Argentina continue to produce the goods in tournament football and they take on Algeria in their opener.
Lionel Messi playing in his final World Cup is the big attraction but for Argentina, a winning start here could propel them to the top of Group J.
With the likes of Riyad Mahrez in their ranks, Algeria will be a serious danger, particularly on the counter attack, making them a real goal threat from the off.
However, Argentina should have the game management skills to pull through this one, not to mention the number of quality players in their ranks and they should get off to a winning start.

Austria have developed hugely as a football nation in recent years and they look well placed to challenge in Group J, alongside the likes of holders Argentina.

Under Ralf Rangnick, Austria have become well known for their ability to control games and their possession based style should make this very tough for Jordan.
This could be an attritional one but Austria look well placed to open up with a win.

Their first assignment in Group K is a meeting with DR Congo, another World Cup debutant who possess plenty of exciting players within their ranks.
Cristiano Ronaldo looks set to play in his final World Cup too, only adding to the sense of occasion around this Portuguese campaign and he will be at the forefront of everything they do.
DR Congo will give this a good go but Portugal should have too much quality when it matters.

England vs Croatia
England to win & under 2.5 goals in the game - 7/2
Attention ultimately turns to England, who will be looking to avenge the semi-final defeat at World Cup 2018 to Croatia in this one.
Thomas Tuchel is now the man in charge of the Three Lions and he looks to have a squad capable of challenging.
Croatia are a side with serious stock, having finished second and third at the last two World Cups.
However, they have an aging squad and England's energy could prove to be the difference maker in this tight opener.
