Unibet UK Sports Review 2025

Before I started my Unibet review I already had high expectations. It is one of the most famous betting sites in the UK, and has been around since 1997 when founder Anders Ström set out to make a site which offered it all – sports betting, casino, and poker.

In brief, I found a lot of very positive aspects about Unibet throughout my review. But I also analysed the site with an open mind, looking for any weaknesses as well. Below are the key strengths and weaknesses of Unibet:

• I tried the free mobile app on iOS and found it to be extremely easy to use, even without having played on it before.
• If you’ve placed a qualifying bet, you can stream a lot of live events – more than 40,000 in total. 

❌Unibet Weaknesses 

• My email query didn’t receive a response on the same day, which leaves room for improvement.  

In all honesty I found it tough to find many weaknesses for my Unibet review. Although email support is a tad slow, this is somewhat negated by the fact that live chat is so sharp.

Unibet is a highly respected betting website and, in my experience, it’s clear to see why. This site has a tremendous selection of betting markets and games, and every aspect has been designed to give players the best possible experience.

The welcome bonus is straightforward and easy to understand, which sets the tone for the site as a whole. You’ll also find around half a dozen other sports betting offers, in addition to the sign-up promotion.

Pretty much all sports are covered here, including budding markets like esports. You can bet on many sports live, and stream them too. Tabs like ‘In-play’, ‘Upcoming’ and ‘Streaming’ make it easy to find what you’re after. It gives you the complete experience.

All major events have a wide array of interesting markets available, which is good if you like a site with lots of variety. Odds are fairly competitive. If you made this your default site, you’d notice that you’re usually receiving odds on a par with the best in the industry.

Deposits are instant and cash outs are fairly quick. You can select between traditional card payments, bank transfer, ewallets and more. I also noticed Apply Pay as a deposit method, which is a convenient touch – especially if you bet a lot on your mobile.

Live chat is available in both English and German. I find this to be by far the most useful way to get in touch, but there is also a phone number and an email address. When I tested the email support I did have to wait a day for a reply, although a quick way around this is to simply use live chat instead.

Finally, I really enjoyed the mobile app. It’s free to download on iOS or Android and is very easy to use, even on your first try. The user design has clearly been created by people who understand what players look for.

Not only is it completely legal to bet at Unibet as a UK player, but it’s one of the safest sites at which to do so. Two gambling licenses – including one from the  revered UK Gambling Commission – should put your mind at ease. Additionally, the company was established back in 1997 and has cemented a strong reputation among players.

Unibet has quite a famous poker product. I primarily reviewed the sports betting side of things, but Unibet poker is worth a mention. Not many sports betting sites have a full poker product, and Unibet even holds live events from time to time.

Unibet proudly stream more than 40,000 events, and you only need to place a small bet to access the live stream footage on all kinds of events including horse racing and football.

Download the Unibet betting app for free on iOS or Android for an even smoother betting experience. It looks similar to the desktop website, with the same betting categories, and green and white colour scheme, but subtle differences make navigating the Unibet app very quick and easy. Of all the UK betting sites I’ve reviewed, Unibet’s app was up there among the best.

There are plenty of ways to deposit at Unibet, and funds will hit your account instantly. Debit card, Skrill, Neteller, PayPal and other options give you a diverse selection. And I noticed they even have Apply Pay.

Just log in and head to the cashier to make a deposit or withdrawal. I made a couple of small cash outs as part of my Unibet review, and am happy to report the money was received in my bank account quickly.

If you click on ‘Help Centre’ at the footer of the page, you’ll be taken to a comprehensive FAQ section which I found very useful. But if you can’t find the answer to your question, search ‘Contact’ for options to get in touch with the team.

Live chat is available every day and response times are fast. There’s also a free-to-phone number, which is something I haven’t seen at a lot of modern sites. Finally, you can email the team – but you should expect a slightly longer wait if you choose this option.
