The eyes of the horse racing world will be on Doncaster Racecourse this weekend as the historic St Leger Stakes is staged.
The long-distance race on Saturday is the standout event of an action-packed three-day meeting that attracts massive crowds to the Yorkshire venue.
We’ve scoured the recent record books to identify three key betting trends that we think will help you pick the winner of this year’s St Leger.
There is little to choose between the top four horses in the St Leger betting, with under two points separating the quartet in the market.
Following which horse ends up as the favourite could prove profitable, with a whopping 43 percent of the last 21 market leaders winning the race.
Arrest is the current favourite for the race, but pay heed to any fluctuations at the head of the market before wagering on horse racing betting sites.
