Top Picks for World Cup Day 11 | June 21st

Spain vs Saudi Arabia

Spain to Win Both Halves (-111)

Spain were one of the major disappointments of the first set of group games as they laboured to a 0-0 draw with Cape Verde. The stats suggest it was entirely one-way traffic, and although they dominated possession and the shot count, they failed to create too many clear-cut opportunities. Luis De La Fuente could make changes for this fixture with Lamine Yamal now potentially fit enough to start. They looked far more direct and dangerous with the Barcelona star on the field.

With Uruguay to play in their final group game, La Roja will be determined to take three points in their quest to finish top of the group and potentially forge an easier path to the latter stages. This will not be entirely straightforward, but don't be surprised if Saudi Arabia are the team to face the backlash of that undercooked display on Monday night.

The Saudis picked up a very creditable point against Uruguay despite creating very little throughout the 90 minutes. They may be able to repel the Spanish attack for short periods of this game, but they aren't expected to follow in Cape Verde's footsteps.

🗸 Long Shot: Spain 3-0 Saudi Arabia (+433)
🗸 Extra Tip: Over 26.5 Shots (-118)

Belgium vs Iran

Both Teams to Score (+110)

Belgium were another short-priced team who surprisingly dropped points in their opening group game. Rudi Garcia's men were exceptionally poor in the first half, and aside from Kevin De Bruyne rattling the woodwork from a free-kick, they rarely troubled the Egyptian defence. After the break, they increased the momentum, and the introduction of Romelu Lukaku gave the Egyptian defence plenty to think about. Lukaku may not be fit enough to start games, but he will certainly play some part in this contest.

Iran looked dangerous going forward against New Zealand, yet they allowed the Kiwis eight shots on target and 21 touches in their box. They aren't afraid to attack, and the Belgian defence does look a little vulnerable. They would have expected to beat New Zealand, and they will throw plenty of bodies forward in an attempt to bag yet another point here.

🗸 Long Shot: Correct Score - Belgium 2-1 Iran (+750)
🗸 Extra Tip: Kevin De Bruyne Anytime Goalscorer (+250)

Uruguay vs Cape Verde

Cape Verde +1.25 Handicap (-135)

It was a monumental and heroic effort from Cape Verde to take a point off Spain, and with Saudi Arabia waiting in their final group game, they have given themselves a realistic chance of securing qualification. Nevertheless, this game against Uruguay may not be as tricky as it looks on paper. The Creoles were very disciplined throughout their clash with Spain, committing just a single foul and keeping their shape whenever Spain managed to break. That sort of organisation may be enough for them to collect a second consecutive point and continue their unbeaten streak.

Uruguay may have won the shot count and created a few decent opportunities against Saudi Arabia, yet they don't appear to be a side that is brimming with confidence. Rumours persist that the players and fans cannot wait to get rid of Marcelo Bielsa post-tournament, and some supporters questioned the formation and the personnel on Monday night. Federico Valverde was moved back into a central position in the second half and the team clearly benefited from his expertise. He will be key for the South Americans if they can squeeze anything out of this tricky tie.

🗸 Long Shot: Uruguay 1-1 Cape Verde (+700)
🗸 Extra Tip: Federico Valverde Anytime Goalscorer (+500)

New Zealand vs Egypt

Both Teams to Score (+220)

Most people, including myself, wrote off New Zealand pre-tournament and assumed that they wouldn't be able to pick up a point, nor score a goal this summer. The Kiwis proved us all wrong in their opener with a spirited display which saw them draw 2-2 with Iran, have eight shots on target and create a couple of notable opportunities.

This team may lack the star names and the quality, but they certainly approach each game with bucketloads of spirit, exemplified by the hard-working performance of Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood. Elijah Just of Motherwell will get the plaudits for scoring both goals in their World Cup opener, but they had several dangerous moments and will surely find the back of the net here.

Egypt produced a decent display against Belgium and deservedly took a point from the game. They probably require a little more composure in the final third, yet they do have plenty of quality in forward areas, not least the talismanic Mo Salah. The next two games look winnable for the North Africans, although they cannot afford to take New Zealand lightly.

🗸 Long Shot: Correct Score - New Zealand 2-2 Egypt (+2500)
🗸 Extra Tip: Over 0.5 New Zealand Goals (-133)
