Betting tips, predictions, and a parlay for day 10 of the 2026 World Cup

Top Picks for World Cup Day 10 | June 20th

Netherlands vs Sweden

Over 2.5 Goals (-111)

The Netherlands drew their opening fixture 2-2 with Japan, a game which exploded into life after the break. Somewhat surprisingly, it wasn't a match which was full of chances, although curiously, all ten of the Oranje's shots came from inside the box. They were clinical when it mattered, and they do have players who are capable of making a difference. They were strong in midfield, and this could be a fascinating battle against a Swedish outfit, who displayed their attacking prowess in their opening group game against Tunisia.

Graham Potter's side were dominant throughout that game, although they are unlikely to face an easier fixture than that. Tunisia looked woefully underprepared and devoid of any tactical instruction. Nevertheless, the Swedish strikeforce looks dangerous, with both Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak off the mark. Brighton's Yasin Ayari was also a menace and is not afraid to have a crack from distance.

This could be a fascinating game between two sides with plenty of attacking talent at their disposal.

🗸 Long Shot: Both Teams to Score 2 or More Goals (+450)
🗸 Extra Tip: Both Teams to Score (-111)

Germany vs Ivory Coast

Half-Time Result - Draw (+154)

Germany thumped Curacao, although there were a couple of moments when they looked a little vulnerable at the back. It's hard to read too much into that success, as Julian Nagelsmann's side are unlikely to face easier opposition at any stage of this tournament. Still, there will be plenty of confidence oozing through the squad with several players off the mark.

Nagelsmann will be wary of his side becoming complacent and will urge his players to keep their feet on the ground. Ivory Coast are no pushovers, and they produced a fantastic display to take three points from Ecuador at the weekend. It was a deserved 1-0 victory as they limited the opposition to just 16 touches in their box, and just a single shot on target.

Germany are likely to be more ruthless than the South Americans, but they may have to be patient in this one. It wouldn't be a surprise if this game was still delicately poised at the break.

🗸 Long Shot: Correct Score - Germany 2-1 Ivory Coast (+700)
🗸 Extra Tip: Under 2.75 Goals (100)

Ecuador vs Curacao

Ecuador to Win and Under 3.5 Goals (-104)

Ecuador successfully thwarted Ivory Coast for long periods of the game last weekend, but they were undone by a suckerpunch in the stoppage time. The South Americans were everything that we expected: compact, difficult to break down, but unable to produce clear-cut chances in the final third. They managed just a single shot on target during that game, with Flamengo's Gonzalo Plata proving to be the main threat.

They will surely be able to find a way past Curacao, although they aren't the sort of side to rack up the goals, and I wouldn't be expecting 4+.

The Caribbean nation were humbled by Germany, but they should be stronger for that chastening experience. They had some positive moments and showed flashes of quality. They will have adapted, and Dick Advocaat will have found a way to make them tougher to play through. Don't expect them to crumble here.

🗸 Long Shot: Own Goals in the Match (+800)
🗸 Extra Tip: Gonzalo Plata Anytime Goalscorer (+160)

Tunisia vs Japan

Over 1.5 Japan Team Goals (-133)

Japan fought back to take a point from the Netherlands, producing two clinical moments to secure a 2-2 draw. The Blue Samurai are often touted as potential underdogs at major tournaments, and they can be extremely dangerous. If they are to justify their position in the outright betting market, they must ensure that they take all three points from this fixture. Sweden are no pushovers, so this has turned into a 'must-win' contest.

Thankfully for Japan, they are bumping into a Tunisian outfit in disarray. They sacked Sabri Lamouchi following a 5-1 loss to Sweden and have opted for experience by appointing Herve Renard. Rumoured in-fighting amongst the players doesn't inspire much confidence, but Renard's nous and know-how may result in a much more disciplined and rigid performance from the North Africans.

They will probably be on the losing side here, but Japan may have to wait for the second half for their breakthrough. They were much better after the break against the Netherlands and may need a few tactical tweaks to break the deadlock.

🗸 Long Shot: Tunisia 0-2 Japan (-500)
🗸 Extra Tip: Japan Highest Scoring Half - Second Half (+136)
