Top Picks for World Cup Day 17 | June 27th

Panama vs England

England to Win and Under 3.5 Goals (+116)

England laboured to a goalless draw against Ghana in Boston on Tuesday, and although many fans were unhappy with the performance, it leaves them top of the group and highly likely to qualify as Group L winners. The Three Lions struggled to break down Ghana's low-block and couldn't unlock their back-line, although they came close to finding the winner in the last ten minutes. Panama will also offer a fair amount of resistance, yet this is a step down in quality and I'd expect England to eventually find a way through.ย

Panama have lost both of their games by a 1-0 scoreline, yet they have limited the opportunities of their opponents. They have lacked composure in the final third and are unlikely to trouble the English defence here. England would have liked the luxury of rotation for this fixture, but they will have to go full strength and Thomas Tuchel may make changes in the second half if his side look to be comfortable.ย

๐Ÿ—ธ Long Shot: Panama 0-3 England - Correct Score (+566)
๐Ÿ—ธ Extra Tip: England to Win to Nil (-125)

Croatia vs Ghana

Draw or Ghana Double Chance (+116)

Ghana have managed to take four points from a possible six so far at this tournament, and they look superbly well-organised under the wily Carlos Queiroz. They set up in a low block and got men behind the ball to defend in numbers. They worked exceptionally hard, and in Antoine Semenyo and, to a lesser extent, Abdul Fatawu, they have a sprinkling of quality in the final third.ย

Croatia edged past Panama to pick up their first points of the tournament. To qualify, they will probably want to score as many points as possible from this game. Unfortunately, they appear to be a fading force and didn't create an awful lot against the Panamanians. They struggled to cope with England's midfield, and Luka Modric isn't able to exert his influence on the match these days. I think they could struggle to match Ghana's energy and enthusiasm and they may have to settle for a draw.

๐Ÿ—ธ Long Shot: Croatia 1-1 Ghana - Correct Score (+500)
๐Ÿ—ธ Extra Tip: Under 2.5 Goals (-141)

Colombia vs Portugal

Both Teams to Score (-105)

Colombia sit top of Group K, having beaten both DR Congo and Uzbekistan. They rarely looked like losing on Tuesday, winning the shot count 20-7, hitting the woodwork and carving out several presentable opportunities. Many of the South American teams have been a little underwhelming so far, yet the Colombians have been extremely effective and business-like. This is their biggest test of the tournament.ย

Portugal made a slow start to the tournament, yet they've finally arrived, spanking Uzbekistan 5-0 on Tuesday. Ronaldo appears to have rediscovered his mojo, and they played some sumptuous football, led by the imperious Bruno Fernandes. Uzbekistan's slapdash defending allowed them to find their groove, and they are unlikely to encounter such generosity in their final group game. Nevertheless, they have enough attacking weapons to get on the scoresheet, and but for a foul in the build-up, they would have conceded in both of their opening two matches.ย

๐Ÿ—ธ Long Shot: Bruno Fernandes to Score from Outside the Box (+1000)
๐Ÿ—ธ Extra Tip: Draw (+275)

DR Congo vs Uzbekistan

DR Congo Win (-123)

DR Congo have been tough to break down at this tournament, and despite being drawn in a tough group, they've more than held their own. They were the better side against Portugal, although they weren't able to match that level of performance against Colombia on Tuesday.ย

They are fairly disciplined, and they have threats going forward. They are particularly dangerous in wide areas, and that may be their best way of breaking down Uzbekistan here.ย

Uzbekistan's defending left a lot to be desired against Portugal, and they were far too open throughout. Nevertheless, they looked reasonably threatening on the counter-attack, and it'll be interesting to see whether they persist with the same tactics here. DR Congo should have the quality to edge this.ย

๐Ÿ—ธ Long Shot: DR Congo 2-0 Uzbekistan - Correct Score (+700)
๐Ÿ—ธ Extra Tip: Under 2.5 Goals (-109)

Algeria vs Austria

Austria Draw No Bet (-141)

Austria produced a hard-working display to nullify Argentina on Monday, but they were inevitably undone by a couple of Messi moments of magic. Ralf Rangnick's men are tactically disciplined, hard-working and resolute, yet they lack the X-factor in the final third. They should win this game, but it won't be easy. They will need to keep their shape and find the right time to strike.ย

Algeria thoroughly deserved their victory against Jordan. They produced an xG of 1.89 and looked dangerous going forward. Riyad Mahrez still possesses quality, and Amine Gouiri is off the mark for the tournament too. They'll need to be at their best to break down the Austrian backline, and they may just come up short.ย

๐Ÿ—ธ Long Shot: Algeria 0-1 Austria (+650)
๐Ÿ—ธ Extra Tip: First Half Result - Draw (-115)

Jordan vs Argentina

Argentina to Win to Nil (-133)

Argentina have been superb so far at this tournament. They have looked assured at the back, and many believe that they have several more gears to move through. At the other end, Lionel Messi has made the headlines, and he is the only player to have found the net for La Albiceleste so far. They look very comfortable, and although they are expected to make changes for this final Group J fixture, they should still have too much quality for their opponents.ย

Jordan have struggled so far and were deservedly beaten by Algeria last time out. They lack quality in the final third, creating just 0.63 xG in their most winnable game. Argentina held Austria at arm's length for the majority of the 90 minutes, and they should be able to keep Jordan off the scoresheet, too.ย

๐Ÿ—ธ Long Shot: Jordan 0-3 Argentina - Correct Score (+550)
๐Ÿ—ธ Extra Tip: Argentina -1.75 Handicap (-125)
