Top Picks for World Cup Day 16 | June 26th

Norway vs France

France to Win and Over 1.5 Goals (-111)

It's a relatively quick turnaround for both of these sides, but that is unlikely to be an issue, as both sides have already secured qualification for the next round. As things stand, France will face easier opponents as a result of finishing as group winners, and Didier Deschamps' side will be determined to stay on top of the pile. Les Bleus are likely to make changes, but their reserves are fairly handy, and even a rotated XI should be capable of winning this.

Norway have looked very handy going forward, but they haven't convinced at the back. They have plenty of attack-minded players in the squad, and they may also be tempted to limit the minutes of key players such as Martin Odegaard. They haven't managed to keep a clean sheet yet, despite having played their easiest two fixtures. France should be able to find a way through their back-line.

🗸 Long Shot: Norway 1-2 France - Correct Score (+700)
🗸 Extra Tip: Over 2.75 Goals (-120)

Senegal vs Iraq

Over 3 Goals (-111)

Senegal have left themselves with plenty to do. They were always going to find it tough being drawn alongside France and Norway, but they need to take maximum points from this final fixture and rack up a positive goal difference to qualify for the knock-outs.

They have looked fairly efficient going forward and managed 16 shots against Norway, totalling an xG of 1.72. They also had more touches in the opposition box than their opponents, but an error-strewn performance from Kalidou Koulibaly denied them a point.

They need to be sharp going forward and cannot afford to be wasteful. Iraq have made a good impression, and they have a decent following. Unfortunately, they have suffered from a little bit of inexperience and being drawn in an incredibly tough section. This may seem a little easier, but they are likely to meet a determined Senegal outfit, who will be on a mission to sneak through to the round of 32.

🗸 Long Shot: Over 4.5 Senegal Team Goals (+500)
🗸 Extra Tip: Over 2.5 Senegal Team Goals (-111)

Cape Verde vs Saudi Arabia

Cape Verde Win (+133)

Despite catching the eye and making a positive impression in their opening two performances, Cape Verde come into this game sitting third in Group H. Nevertheless, their easiest fixture (on paper) has been saved until now, and they will be expected to take maximum points from this encounter. They've been incredibly disciplined in their first two matches, barely giving away any fouls, and have broken quickly to trouble the opposition.

They were widely expected to have zero points at this stage of the tournament, yet they've exceeded expectations, and they can end the group stage with a flourish.

It's hard to know what to make of Saudi Arabia. They have been exposed defensively, but they do look capable going forward. This is a weaker group than we saw in 2022, and they look to be heading for the exit.

🗸 Long Shot: Over 2.5 Cape Verde Team Goals (+500)
🗸 Extra Tip: Over 2.5 Goals (100)

Uruguay vs Spain

Spain -1 Handicap (-135)

Many of the South American outfits have been incredibly disappointing at the tournament so far, yet very few have been as underwhelming as Uruguay. Marcelo Bielsa is not a popular figure with the fans, and rumours suggest that many of the players do not approve of the mercurial Chilean. That speculation has looked increasingly salient with each passing performance, and they have given themselves an uphill challenge ahead of this final group game.

They do not look cohesive, and they have struggled to create clear-cut chances. The lack of an effective striker has not helped their cause.

If Spain had beaten Cape Verde in their opener, they could rest and rotate for this final game. As it happens, they will have to go reasonably full strength to guarantee top spot and ensure a slightly easier knock-out fixture. They found their shooting boots against Saudi Arabia and should be oozing with confidence coming into this contest. They will be a much tougher proposition than Uruguay's previous opponents, both of which held them to a draw.

🗸 Long Shot: Over 3.5 Spain Team Goals (+433)
🗸 Extra Tip: Spain/Spain HT/FT (100)

New Zealand vs Belgium

Both Teams to Score (+125)

Belgium have been far from convincing so far at this tournament, and they've given themselves plenty to do in this final group game. Something isn't right about the balance of this team, and although they dominated the shot count against Iran, they only created one meaningful opportunity and Romelu Lukaku, who was leading the line, looked like a player who had missed the entire 2025-26 campaign through injury.

Still, they will be banking on this final game against New Zealand to send them through to the knock-out stages.

New Zealand haven't disgraced themselves and have been very entertaining to watch. The Oceania representatives picked up a point in their opener, and although they were beaten by Egypt, they played their part in an entertaining contest. They have nothing to lose, so they are likely to play on the front foot and approach this game with an attacking mindset.

🗸 Long Shot: Over 1.5 New Zealand Team Goals (+500)
🗸 Extra Tip: Half-Time Result - Draw (+183)

Egypt vs Iran

Egypt Win (+142)

Somewhat surprisingly, these two sides sit first and second in Group G, and they have both given themselves a realistic chance of qualifying in this order. They cannot simply rely on Belgium messing it up against New Zealand; therefore, they will need to push forward and attack the opposition. Egypt look dangerous going forward, and the Pharaohs have a chance to make history by recording a victory and going through as group winners. They are also defensively resolute, with Hossam Hassan often prioritising a defence-first policy, particularly when it comes to important and high-stakes fixtures.

Iran have made a decent impression this summer, and some of the pre-tournament chaos may just have inspired them. They were involved in an entertaining game against New Zealand before holding Belgium to a draw last time out. They should be able to keep this game tight for long periods, but they may just come up short against the talented Egyptians.

🗸 Long Shot: Egypt 2-1 Iran - Correct Score (+900)
🗸 Extra Tip: Over 2.25 Goals (+130)
