Top Picks for World Cup Day 27 | July 7th

Argentina vs Egypt

Argentina to Win by a 1 Goal Margin (+220)

Argentina were given their sternest test of the tournament by Cape Verde in the Round of 32. La Albiceleste managed to sneak through, courtesy of an own goal in extra time, yet it was far from the straightforward task that was implied by the pre-match betting odds. Lionel Scaloni admitted that his side were 'knackered' after the game, both mentally and physically, and they will need to raise themselves for this Round of 16 clash with Egypt.

Egypt were also taken to extra time and penalties, eventually sneaking past Australia. The Pharaohs have won just one of their World Cup matches so far, and although they haven't particularly caught the eye, they've also been fairly tough to beat and have shown plenty of fighting spirit.

They will not go down without a fight, and although they lack the quality to beat Argentina, they could push them all the way. Lionel Messi will be keen to add to his seven goals, hoping to beat Kylian Mbappe in the quest for the Golden Boot, and his side may look to set-pieces once again as the best way to break down the North Africans. This will be close.

🗸 Long Shot: Argentina 2-1 Egypt - Correct Score (+750)
🗸 Extra Tip: Over 0.5 Goals in Both Halves (-125)

Switzerland vs Egypt

Half Time Result - Draw (+105)

Switzerland enjoyed a trouble-free passage with a straightforward victory over Algeria. The Swiss have benefited from a kind schedule, which saw them enjoy nine days of rest before their Round of 32 match. Although it is unlikely to cause a huge advantage here, they've also had a few extra hours to prepare for this game, and they should be relatively fresh heading into this one.

Barring a below-par performance on the opening week, they've been fairly efficient, and the introduction of Johan Manzambi has given them some much-needed X-factor in the final third. This has enabled them to be a little unpredictable.

Colombia have progressed with the minimum of fuss, and they will be confident of progressing. They will have been pleased to avoid any notable names at this stage of the competition and will look to build on a hugely positive group stage. The South Americans have conceded just a single goal in this tournament so far, and that came in the opening group game against Uzbekistan.

Neither side will give much away, and we can expect both outfits to be extremely well-organised. This may not be a pulsating affair, yet it should be tactically fascinating.

🗸 Long Shot: Switzerland 1-1 Colombia - Correct Score (+550)
🗸 Extra Tip: Johan Manzambi - Anytime Goalscorer (+325)
