Best betting tips for the two Round of 16 games taking place on Day 25

Top Picks for World Cup Day 25 | July 5th

Brazil vs Norway

Over 1.5 Brazil Team Goals (-125)

Brazil put in a determined performance to fight back from a goal down to beat Japan in the Round of 32. It wasn't a vintage display from the Selecao, and we are yet to see them at their swashbuckling best, but they are showing all of the hallmarks of a Carlo Ancelotti outfit. They can navigate their way through cup competitions, and their superstars come to life, producing individual moments of magic.

Vinicius Jr. was tremendous on the left and caused problems for the Japanese defence. He is likely to trouble a Norwegian back line, which struggled against Senegal and was undone by Amad Diallo's fancy footwork in the previous round.

Norway also possess plenty of talent and firepower in their ranks, and although Erling Haaland gets the majority of headlines, this has been a tournament which has put the spotlight on Antonio Nusa and Bodo/Glimt's Patrick Berg. They will undoubtedly look to move it forward with purpose, but it's hard to trust their defence, which hasn't looked convincing at any stage of this tournament.

Brazil's defence can be exploited too, and they look particularly weak in the full-back positions.

🗸 Long Shot: Brazil 2-1 Norway - Correct Score (+750)
🗸 Extra Tip: Over 2.5 Goals (-132)

Mexico vs England

Mexico +0.25 Handicap (-132)

Remarkably, Mexico are yet to concede a goal at this tournament. Admittedly, El Tri have had a fairly easy ride so far, and they are yet to be properly tested, but they've proven to be well-organised, solid and able to successfully limit the opposition. They limited a half-decent Ecuador outfit to just seven shots earlier in the week, despite mostly surrendering possession to the South Americans.

They've also benefited from home advantage in some of their recent fixtures, and will be acclimatised to their conditions at Estadio Azteca on Sunday evening. They've been based on home soil throughout, whereas England have moved between venues, taking in Boston, Atlanta and Dallas en route.

England put in a strong second-half performance against DR Congo, but there are still issues in defence. They haven't found the balance at the back, with injuries and a lack of midfield options having hamstrung them.

They will need to put in a peak performance to get past Mexico at the Azteca, and it feels like the conditions may just take effect as the game progresses. If it goes to extra time, back the co-hosts to go through with England struggling to go the distance in tough conditions.

🗸 Long Shot: Mexico 1-1 England - Correct Score (+475)
🗸 Extra Tip: Under 0.75 First Half Goals (+105)
