Prior to conducting this Grosvenor bet review, I’d had experience of using their online casino, however, despite launching in 2016, I had never previously had dabbled with their Sportsbook. I was excited to get started and I duly signed up for an account. I found the sign-up process perfectly straightforward and I was able to create an account within a matter of minutes. Once I’d signed up for an account, I began to browse upcoming sporting events. Although some pages took a little longer than others to load, I was impressed with the layout and appearance of the sportsbook. I found it easy to navigate between pages and unlike other UK sportsbooks, their sports markets were laid out in a logical format which made it easy to narrow down my options when it came to choosing a bet.
I found that I was able to claim my Double Your Odds token immediately, and this was delightful news. I was simply required to add a selection to my bet-slip and the option to double the odds became available instantly. This was a ridiculously simple way to claim my welcome bonus and was extremely pleasing.
Although I was reasonably pleased with the welcome bonus, I can understand why some UK punters may prefer to receive a larger sum upon signing up for an account. I was also a little disappointed by the lack of ongoing promotions available to sports bettors.
Grosvenor boasts an impressive range of sports betting markets and as a keen football fan, I was pleased to see a vast array of competitions and events listed on the site. I was also easy to add these to my betting slip and create an accumulator. I was able to add up to 12 selections to my multiple bet.
When it came to making a deposit, Grosvenor made it easy enough and I was pleased to be able to select from a variety of options including PayPal and Bank Transfer. When it came to making withdrawals, I was asked to provide additional documentation, however, this was soon completed and the process was completed within 5 working days (just!)
Although the live chat was slightly slower than other operators, I found the operatives to be friendly and professional throughout. I was also tried out the email service and the FAQ page and found both to be up to scratch.
I downloaded the mobile app and decided to place a series of bets whilst I was out and about. I’m pleased to report that, despite one or two minor glitches, the Grosvenor mobile app is relatively efficient and its layout effectively mirrors the main desktop site.
Although there are still one or two teething issues, and Grosvenor betting could do with improving some areas of their sportsbook, I was relatively satisfied with my experience. The sportsbook is enjoyable and I found it easy to place my bets on both the desktop site and mobile app. It may take a few years to catch up with some of its peers, however, Grosvenor has made an excellent foray into the world of online bookmakers and betting apps and is likely to go from strength-to-strength.
