Spreadex Review 2024

As soon as I began writing a Spreadex review, I noticed a bucket-load of originality. This site stands out from the pack, from spread betting to its forex exchange and, of course, the excellent sports betting options. Read the full Spreadex review below to find out more.

As you can probably tell even this early in my Spreadex review, this is a betting site which I’m a fan of. But it’s not perfect, as all betting sites have their drawbacks.

• Spread betting: This is a rare site which allows fixed odds betting and spread betting from a single account. In fact, they claim to be the only site to do so.
• Better odds: You can frankly get better odds at a spread betting account than you can at standard online betting sites.
• Unique markets: The markets here are really niche. For example, you can bet on the combined total of the goal scorers’ shirts in a football match. So, if numbers 7, 11 and 32 scored, the market would pay out on 50.

❌ Spreadex Weaknesses

• Confusing: If you’re new to concepts like spread betting, or buying and selling on particular markets, it can be pretty confusing and maybe enough to put you off. This isn’t really a fault of Spreadex, but more of the barrier to spread betting itself.

Conclusion 

If you can take the time to understand how spread betting works, of if you’re already familiar with it, you should love Spreadex. Review the offers, markets and odds and you’ll instantly see why this site holds so much appeal.

Overall, the betting experience at Spreadex is great, but I marked it down a little because the very nature of spread betting will be prohibitive to some players, and any misunderstandings can be costly.

Live support isn’t available 24 hours a day but, when the team are online, they prove themselves to be highly skilled – and there’s phone support too, which is great.

I was thoroughly impressed by the end of my Spreadex review, as this is a site which packs in tonnes of cool features and market-beating odds.

The welcome bonus is straightforward and rewards you with one of the most desirable types of promotion: free bets. And you can use them across all types of sports on some truly unique markets, which aren’t available at the majority of online betting sites.

Banking is limited, and this is certainly an area I noted could be improved while conducting a Spreadex review. At the same time, they offer you the chance to open a credit line up to the value of £2,000. I’ll leave you to decide whether that’s a pro or a con – but just make sure you only ever bet money you can afford to lose.

Customer support is top notch, with live chat being the most convenient option. As part a thorough Spreadex review, I asked the team a series of intentionally complicated questions to test them. They passed with flying colours, demonstrating sound knowledge and a friendly approach.

The Spreadex betting app is an accomplished piece of software, which allows you to mirror a lot of what you can do on the main desktop site. If you decide that you like spread betting, this is an app I’d recommend using, as it’s perfect for betting on the move.

The terms and conditions at the time of my Spreadex sports review were quite relaxed, with no wagering requirements on your free bets. The main things to remember are:

• You’ll receive up to seven free £5 bets, mostly on separate days

One of the things which made my Spreadex review so unique compared to my reviews of other betting sites is the ability to take part in spread betting. It’s a unique way of betting which has a really interesting upside, where you can lock in profit and then sit back and hope for more with no fear of losing. Just make sure you understand how it works before you place any sizeable bets, as you could lose too.

Packed out blog

The blog here’s not just an excuse by Spreadex to include sports words here and there – it’s actually a very helpful and interesting portion of the website, complete with match previews, betting recommendations, and even fun quizzes.

Bet limits 

Most modern online betting sites offer bet limits, and this is indeed the case at Spreadex too. However, it deserves a special mention here, because of the use of spread betting. There is always a risk of bigger losses than your initial stake, which is why bet limits (and stop losses) can come in really handy. If you’re out of your comfort zone, this should be your first step. 

In-play betting 

Spreadex betting is available in-play, and that includes the more interesting spread betting markets. Because bets are being bought and sold dependent on the action, you can sometimes grab some terrific odds if you’re fast to act.

I’ve already established in this Spreadex review that there are some truly unique betting options at the site. But, taking it back to the basics, how many sports are there to bet on? And which are the most popular?

If you regularly read betting site reviews I’ve written, you’ll know I’m not a massive fan of betting apps. However, I can see the merit of them when it comes to spread betting.

Spread betting is a little more complicated than fixed odds betting, with lots of buy and sell markets. A misclick can be very costly, so it’s important to double check each bet you place. And I’ve found that betting apps are better for this.

As part of my Spreadex review I downloaded the Spreadex betting app on iOS and found it to be very slick. Buttons are bigger and clearer for a mobile screen, which is ideal. Even if you’re not much of a betting app fan, I’d recommend downloading it to give it a try.

Spreadex UK players can get a juicy welcome bonus, but there are lots of other promotions which can be claimed even after you’ve used up your sign up offer.  
I checked out the latest special deals at Spreadex to give you a quick rundown: 

• Spread-free bets. Place three qualifying spread bets and get the fourth free.
• Second to a rag insurance. Money back as a free bet if your horse comes second behind a 33/1+ winner.
• Refer and earn. Get your friends to sign up and earn a £100 free bet.
• First past the post. If your horse wins and is later demoted for interference, Spreadex pays out on both horses.

Before I began my Spreadex review, this didn’t seem to me like the type of site that would have an online casino. So much energy is focused on spread betting, and they even have a whole section dedicated purely to financial trading. Would they really have the resources to create a Spreadex casino?

The answer is yes – and it’s a good one, too. Spreadex casino can be located by clicking on the ‘Casino’ tab which is at the top of the homepage but still quite discreet. It will bring you to a separate section which has a banner with the latest games or offers, followed by a series of top slots.

Narrow your search with categories in the top menu such as ‘Slots’, ‘Roulette’, ‘Megaways’ and so on.

I saw no option to play slot games for free, nor to search by a specific provider. But the sheer selection of games is impressive, and includes popular titles like Gonzo’s Quest and Starburst.

There are over 45 live dealer tables covering classics such as live blackjack and live roulette. These sit alongside modern fan favourites including Dream Catcher, Crazy Time and Monopoly Live.

There are certainly some details that could be improved at Spreadex casino if it wants to compete with the top online casinos in the UK. But, when you consider how much this site is already offering, I was pleasantly surprised to see what they had in the way of casino games.

As I mentioned earlier in my Spreadex review, banking is one area where the bookie could improve. They only accept limited payment methods like debit cards and cheques, but not e-wallets like PayPal, Ukash or Neteller. This will not be ideal for many of you, and so I’d like to see the Spreadex sports betting section allow more diverse deposits and withdrawals.

On the plus side, the minimum bet amount here is almost non-existent. Many markets allow you to place 1p bets, while others still have a low minimum of 15p.

When I did cash out to test the speeds of transactions, the money landed in my account fairly quickly.

If I’m being honest, I’d rather they had longer hours – though given the complexity of spread betting, I understand why they might operate at more ‘standardised’ hours than other betting sites.

I did have a chance to speak with customer support and ask them some tricky questions, to which they replied in a helpful and professional manner.
