Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 27/03

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

There is another exciting day of racing to look forward to across the UK on Wednesday with meetings at Hereford, Kempton and Wincanton to dissect. We’ve already picked out some winners at big prices this week and our quest for profit continues today. Below, you can check out our latest horse racing betting tips ahead of the day’s action.

Best Tip #1: El Granjero – Hereford, 2.40

El Granjero is a former point winner who has been on the cusp of victory again since before Christmas, posting three second-placed finishes in a row over hurdles.

The 5-year-old landed in second spot having been beaten by a neck at Hereford in his last effort and he might feel like he is overdue a score. He is taken to succeed over a similar trip here.

Jonjo O’Neil’s Stay If U Want To is also worth a place on shortlists. He won at Market Rasen in November and hit second place on his hurdle debut at Catterick last month.

Elsewhere, The Sad Shepherd could have claims on his stable debut and might be worth a market check on the best betting sites for horse racing.

Best Tip #2:  Rey De La Batalla – Kempton, 7.30

Rey De La Batalla has excelled since moving into handicaps and impressive wins at Lingfield and Kempton should set him up for another push on his return to the latter.

A 4lb increase has been applied after his narrow C&D triumph last month and though he has work to do against some of the most unexposed opponents, a hattrick of wins could be within reach for the talented 3-year-old.

Other candidates to consider include Burdett, who hasn’t made an appearance since finishing second at Haydock in September. Favourite Break The Bank is another with decent pedigree, though he still has it all to prove moving up in distance and into handicapping.

Beauty Nation finished second behind Rey De La Batalla at Kempton on March 2nd and could have an influence.

Best Roughie: Chloe’s Court – Wincanton, 3.00

Chloe’s Court is the joint-oldest runner in the 3.00 at Wincanton, however the experienced mare really is in the best form of her career and she could move up to score from a big price ahead of others.

The previous C&D winner has little room for error off a tight mark, however, a recent record of 1-1-4-2-3 makes for impressive reading and a place could be on offer at the very least.

Tequila Blaze could be another option to weigh up on sports betting apps. The 10-year-old won from nowhere at Southwell last month and looked like she had more to give on that occasion. A 7lb increase shouldn’t bother her too much and she could threaten again over the same distance.

Elle Est Beau is listed as the favourite, though stamina could be an issue there.

Stats and Insights

  • Hereford is a square-shaped circuit and horses running there can look like they are always in the middle of a turn. With a short, downhill finish to power through, we like our tips to be in the mix near the front. Jockey Harry Skelton has won 30% of his races at Hereford this season.
  • Kempton has been a happy hunting ground for jockey David Bass this season and though he has raced just seven times there, he managed to record four wins. Nicky Henderson has the most wins as a trainer at Kempton this term (seven), though Tom Lacey has the most impressive strike rate (60%).
  • The course at Wincanton is a sharp, flat oval-shaped run with tricky fences. Confident jumpers tend to do well there and plenty of races are won from the front. Jockey Stan Sheppard has won four of his five races at Wincanton this season, while trainer Paul Nicholls has posted 15 wins there this term.
