Horse Racing Tips, Predictions & Best Bets – 06/07

MansionBet - Horse Racing Best Bets

There is a bumper race card to enjoy on Saturday with meetings across the UK and Ireland at Beverley, Carlisle, Haydock, Leicester, Nottingham, Sandown, Bellewstown and Naas to analyse. Yesterday, we landed another winner thanks to Hold Your Fort’s success at Newton Abbot and below, we continue our hunt of profit with another set of free horse racing betting tips.

Best Tip #1:  Chicago Fireball – Naas, 17:05

Chicago Fireball, who has been leading the charge on horse racing betting sites, has been employing a front-running strategy to good effect of late, with wins in successive races at Gowran Park and Leopardstown ahead of today’s test.

Both victories were secured over 1m and in some style and the 3-year-old could be the one to set the pace again here over a shorter trip.

Elsewhere, Elinor Dashwood is another progressive type with decent credentials.

She won a fillies’ handicap over 7f at Gowran Park when last seen and though she has moved up 10lb in the ratings since, a repeat performance isn’t out of the question. AP O’Brien’s Democracy completes the trio of likely candidates.

Best Tip #2: Where’s My Jet – Bellewstown, 17:28

Willie Mullins’ Where’s My Jet scored on his debut for the prolific trainer at Tramore over 2m last November and he should be hard to beat on his hurdles bow at Bellewstown today.

Top jockey Paul Townend has travelled to compete in just one race today, so he is unlikely to waste his time.  Where’s My Jet justified his favouritism at Tramore last year and he could do the same here.

Intense Approach meanwhile, also deserves respect. The point-to-point and bumper winner pulled up on his first and only outing of 2024 so far at Kelso, however, he returns from another break here and could be fresh enough to pose a challenge.

Bridgehead has placed in three of his last four races and could be a good each-way opportunity.

Best Roughie: Ghostwriter – Sandown, 15:35

Ghostwriter was unbeaten as a 2-year-old for CG Cox and his successful efforts included wins at Newmarket and Ascot in 2023. The talented charge finished fourth in a competitive 2,000 Guineas in May and hit the same position in the French Derby a month later.

With form like that, he has to be a contender here off a meaty starting price in this Coral-Eclipse British Champions Series event.

Most of the attention has been focused on City of Troy, however, with AP O’Brien’s favourite dominating column inches and markets on betting apps. A very versatile sort who packs plenty of punch, City of Troy is a relentless finisher and if today’s race develops to form, he could be difficult to combat.

The 3-year-old won at Epsom in a Class 1 race last time out and though more success could be in the offing, the tight prices on offer make him hard to back.
