The Champion Bumper is a Grade 1 National Hunt race open to horses aged between four to six-years-old. The race is held each year in March and it\u2019s also viewed as one of the most distinguished on the racing calendar as many of the horses go on to do showjumping. Competing in the Champion Bumper allows them to run on the flat if they haven\u2019t done so before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sir Gerhard is the biggest threat on paper but, despite recently joining Team Mullins, Paul Townend spurns him. That could be worth noting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
