The Cheltenham cross country started as a place filler in 2015 when an extra day was added to the festival. In 2016, the race became a Conditions Race where weights are added to horses according to certain conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prize money here is a huge \u00a365,000, and none of the horses are younger than five-years-old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latter condition is challenging and really tests the horse\u2019s stamina, the jockey’s skill, and the trainer\u2019s diligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
