The tournament will be hosted by Oakmont Country Club for a record 10th<\/sup> time \u2013 a venue that has earned infamy for its narrow fairways, rapid greens and challenging layout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ahead of the action, we\u2019ve analysed the course trends, key stats and bookmakers\u2019 markets to build an info-packed betting guide for the 2025 US Open at Oakmont, complete with a trio of betting tips to consider before tee off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conquering Oakmont: taking on \u201cThe Beast\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Accuracy off the tee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oakmont is known for its pencil-thin fairways and thick rough, so players equipped with the best accuracy off the tee are likely to reap rewards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statistics show that in the last four US Opens, 70% of strokes gained\/off the tee were from accuracy instead of distance, so players like Russell Henley, Collin Morikawa and Aaron Rai \u2013 who have been gaining 1.5+ shots per round off the tee this year \u2013 could put their accuracy to good use again at Oakmont.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approach play: 125+ yards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There has been a noticeable correlation between approach play outside 125 yards and overall success at the US Open in recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An analysis of the top finishers in the last four US Opens shows that around 70% of their strokes gained came from tee shots or from approaches from 125+ yards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the green speed measuring tool – the Stimpmeter \u2013 Oakmont scores a lofty 13, which is a severe step up from an average score of nine or 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Players like Ludvig \u00c5berg and Harris English have performed well on greens rated 13 or above over the last five years, and their putting prowess should come in useful again at Oakmont.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
