Best Tip #1:  Notable Speech – Royal Ascot, 16:25<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The St James’s Palace Stakes is shaping up to be a hotly contested race at Ascot today, but preference is still given to Charlie Appleby’s unbeaten charge, Notable Speech. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The formidable force, who has solid claims as the best 3-year-old in the business blitzed the field at the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket when last seen where he saw off today’s main rival Rosallion. A similar outcome could be in the works here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elsewhere, Almaqam is another eye-catcher, albeit at a much bigger price. He’s been making promising strides this year and followed up a good win at Yarmouth in April with another at Sandown a month later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best Tip #2: Cloudy Rose – Brighton, 20:00<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Cloudy Rose finished second in a Class 6 Handicap race at Beverley on May 29th, however, she was denied room to race on that occasion and her win at Brighton just before that is perhaps a better barometer ahead of today’s return to the same track. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

John Berry’s 6-year-old is up just 1lb in the ratings after her recent 1-2 punch and her credentials look very strong again here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We return to Ascot for our third pick and we like the look of Catalyse in the Coventry Stakes in the second race of the day. The \u00a3300,000 breeze-up buy for RA Fahey sparkled on his debut at Hamilton and won with plenty of room to spare and he could deliver for his backers again today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interestingly, jockey James Double picked Catalyse from three stable options in today’s run and that feels significant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cowardofthecounty is the ante-post market leader on betting apps<\/a>, meanwhile. The 100,000gns yearling won on his maiden bow on April 21st at The Curragh and though he hasn’t been seen since, it wouldn’t be a big surprise if he picked up where he left off. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
