The Romford card sees a race run to celebrate the latest induction in the Romford Hall of Fame, Adageo Bob. Trained by Mark Wallis, he was a Romford stalwart for many years and fully deserves the honour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The red jacket is a perfect launching pad for Antigua Socks to land the standard final at 20.54 for Wallis. The last twice that he has been berthed in trap one at this track have been a pair of victories for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has plenty of size and can use that to good effect to make himself a bit of space on the inside at the opening turn. From there, he should kick on down the back and hold off his kennelmate in trap six.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sweet Pear has run over 575m at Romford from trap six twice in her career so far, winning on both occasions. The most recent of those was last week where Mark Wallis\u2019s charge won with any amount in hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She has her ideal draw to work from once more in the 21.28 and can get a perfect tow into the contest from All Fours in trap five, who also happens to represent Wallis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
On paper, this looks like a softer contest for Adamant Taurus than the ones he has been running in of late for Jane Craske. Taking on the likes of Ballymac Micko is a world apart from this level of opposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is a standing dish around the 400m at this venue, with his early gears always a potent weapon. The 19.18 should be his for the taking if he is on his mettle early on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adageo Bob was a 575m master at Romford, so it is only fitting that his race is run over the six bend trip. Wee Sydney has been running with great credit over 400m here of late, but she stays this far as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her early pace that she uses to such good effect over four bends has the potential to blow this race apart over the longer trip. A first bend lead at 21.12 can be converted into another success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Last week was the first time that Getwiththetimes has raced at Romford, just a two bend trial prior to that. She ran off at the bends even more so than is normal for a wide runner, looking to leave some time out there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With that experience under her belt, she should be capable of stepping up a good few lengths on the clock for David Elcock in the 575 maiden final at 20.38.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
